November 25, 2025 (Nashville, TN): It's not the holidays without a seasonal rom-com, and Nashville’s Shantell Ogden has created a new film that delivers a heartwarming message and a festive holiday soundtrack wrapped in a big golden bow. Today, the video-on-demand premiere of Music City Mistletoe was announced on all streaming platforms; the soundtrack is available exclusively on the film’s website. The film's title track is the focus of Christmas playlists, available HERE.
Music City Mistletoe (film) was written and executive produced by Shantell and it uniquely captures both the holiday magic and vibrant music scene of Nashville, a city she has created music in for 20 years. Featuring 18 original songs penned by Ogden and Nashville’s finest hit songwriters, the songs drive the authentic story of a songwriter who is endlessly working toward their dream of landing one big “hit song break."
“The soundtrack features so many talented writers and artists, and by releasing it exclusively on the website, we will be able to support these artists and writers directly,” says Shantell. “We hope people bring the music and movie into their hearts and homes to celebrate this holiday!”
The soundtrack embodies the diversity of Nashville’s music scene during a year of live music’s resurgence, highlighted by CMA Fest attracting over 90,000 attendees at Nissan Stadium in June 2025.
The title track, written by Shantell along with Bill Whyte and Victoria Venier, is rooted in traditional country with organic production, blending fiddle-driven holiday energy with a touch of nostalgia – paints a picture of what makes Music City so special at Christmas. This focus track “Music City Mistletoe” is available for streaming and downloading on all digital sites.
