Sometimes we have guitars that really belong in the world making music for someone else. Recently, I donated one of these guitars to a local Nashville organization called Instruments of Joy.
Instruments of Joy collects instruments in Nashville and delivers them to needy communities in the developing world - where people especially need the joy and inspiration that music provides. I met up with Andria Perez, program coordinator, to give her the guitar recently at a local coffee shop (photo above).
A few weeks later, I received a photo of the guitar - now in the hands of Pastor Julio Caesar (seen below) where it will be used in his church and vocational school in the Dominican Republic. His story is amazing - and it's a joy to have shared an instrument with such an incredible human!
